We designed this unit choosing the finest vacuum tubes ever produced without regard to current fashion and marketing trends as a statement of the ultimate possibilities of the technology. For example, our Western Electric 437A input tube is unfamiliar to most audiophiles but experts recognize this remarkable small signal triode as on of the highest achievements of the tube maker's craft. The 437A was designed in the 1950s for critical telephone system applications requiring revolutionary vacuum-tube performance. This tube offers an unmatched technical figure of merit, exceptionally low noise, and bulletproof reliability, but we use it because we are sure that your ears will appreciate the special quality the 437A brings to your music room or home theater. The distinctive ITT 4304CB output tube is a European version of the Western Electric 304, a directly-heated triode which played a role in the early days of Trans-Atlantic short-wave radio communication. Thanks to our novel IITC interstage transformer circuit, we are able to recruit this outstanding commercial-grade tube for the service of music, Although we certainly appreciate the romance of the older days, we selected the 4304 for its exceptional qualities for today's listener. Power output is a substantial 15 watts with a full and rich presentation that really makes people enjoy music. |

Features -IITC(Inverted Interstage Transformer Coupling) circuit with special DC magnetization cancellation technique provides excellent performance in lower register. -All direct-coupled circuitry. We avoid coupling capacitors to ensure maximum purity of reproduction. -The ITT4304 filament are supplied from a well filtered DC source to minimize hum and noise. -The chassis is milled out 40mm thick block of aerospace-grade aluminum and finished in a lustrous champagne-gold. -The specially-designed transformers used in WAVAC Audio Lab. amplifiers are custom-would to the highest standards by TANGO, the most renowned transformer manufacture in Japan. -All tube sockets are machined out of solid Teflon stock and assembled with heavy gold plated phosphor bronze contacts. Elastomeric anti-vibration mounting arrangement is provided to isolate the tubes from environmental vibrations. -Binding posts capable of accepting audiophile speaker cabled are provided in an easily accessible position atop the chassis. -Reduction of noise caused by electric power supply is reduced by power line input filter. -For cooling and protection of the components, the bottom plate of the amplifier is perforated in a basket weave pattern.. we chose a traditional graphic design pattern from the ancient ages of Japan called Ajiro-Kumi, to add aesthetic purpose. -An attractive laboratory glass canopy suspended on elastomer supports is provided to protect then output tubes. -The input sensitivity of the HE-4304 is on the order of 100mV. High sensitivity allows for use of purist passive attenuators such as our ATT-S. -A highly-filtered DC filament supply reduces hum and noise. -The input tube is the Western Electric 437A, an outstanding low-noise triode designed in the 1950s for critical telecommunication applications. -A 6L6GC triode driver stage allows high power and linearity. -Because our supplies of the specialized vacuum tube used this amplifier are limited, we must limit production of the HE-4304 to 30 units in order to meet the service requirements of owners, 70 pairs of this tube are now in stock with us for this purpose. |
